Hello, my name is Richard.

Hi, I’m Richard and I’ve worked as a car windscreen repair technician at Optic-Kleer for many years.

Every day is different as I work at different retail locations within 20 miles of Kings Lynn. Customers leave their vehicle with me whilst they shop and I carry out the repair. I can do stone chip repairs from a heated windscreen on a Ford Focus to an Aston Martin. At all times I am professional, applying my extensive training and experience.

Convenience is key, and as a mobile technician I typically visit 4 or 5 different retail locations in a month carrying out stone chip repairs. These locations include Kings Lynn, March and Wisbech. From time to time I do repairs at your home, but find that customers like the convenience of getting the work done and dusted whilst they shop.

The cost of a windscreen chip repair is usually covered as part of your motor insurance policy. If not you can pay for it privately. So, don’t delay your MOT in case the chip gets larger or you run the risk of getting a fine as your car’s MOT is out of date. The windscreen is checked as part of your vehicle’s MOT test. The test requires that the driver has a clear view in the windscreen directly in front of the driver, in the area swept by the wiper blades.

Optic-Kleer specialises in windscreen chip repairs and not windscreen replacements. This means you can retain the original windscreen glass supplied by the manufacturer rather than replacing the screen and seals that were originally provided. Once the glass repair is complete, we provide you with a windscreen repair warranty for the work whilst the vehicle remains in your ownership.

To find out where you can get a window screen repair in your area simply provide your postcode and vehicle registration number in our easy to use search bar. You’ll see my diary and contact details and you can get a handy reminder when I’ll be at your local supermarket. We can also tell you if your insurer normally covers the cost of car windscreen repair.
